Our users include individuals from academia, national labs, and industry.  Individuals from UTK can use account numbers for payment.  All others can be direct billed or establish a Facilities Membership with the Center for Materials Processing to gain access to an account number for an easy payment option.  Contact us for more information.

ABOUT US

We are the Institute for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing (IAMM) Diffraction Facility, located at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Individuals from academia, national labs, and industry utilize the facility to perform a wide range of experiments.  Basic usage revolves around the identification and quantification of phases, crystallinity, lattice parameters, crystallite size, and microstrain.  More advanced uses include high-temperature in-situ experiments, investigating preferred orientation with pole figures, determining residual stresses, and studying thin films with X-ray reflectivity, among others.  If you would like more information or have any questions, you can fill out the "Contact Us" form below or find staff email addresses by clicking the button below (which will take you to the "People" page).
